Parker's
is something of a Wilson, in fact an Eastern North
Carolina Tradition. They've been barbecuing since
1946. Got
it down pat. Walk in the door there's a platoon of
servers, dressed in white. You're shown to your
table, handed a menu, and in my case at least, my order
was before me a minute after I placed it. Good
barbecue, good stew, great fried chicken. Like
Bill's, also in Wilson, the corn sticks, a Wilson thing
evidently, aren't worth the effort - dry and no
flavor.
