The
first place on HollyEats to have previously earned a
highly respectable James Beard Award. The folks at
Waterman's assuaged my concern. "It was just a
regional award, not fancy gourmet or anything."
They went on to explain that the Beard Awards probably
picked them out of all the great Maine lobster pounds
because they were still small and family run. I
went for a two pound lobster that must have weighed in at
2 pounds, 15 ounces. It was huge. And
fresh. And perfectly cooked. Polished it off
with a slice of homemade rhubarb pie. Finest
kind.
