Way back when Pommes Frites sold the best fries in the
U.S. Fresh cut, fried twice in true Belgian manner
and served with all manner of dipping sauces. My
last trip, tres disappointing. Though cooked to
order they were not crisp on the outside and light and
mealy inside. Some pieces overcooked. Some just
soft.
On the upper right,
Montreal poutine - fried potatoes with chicken gravy and
cheddar cheese. A true delicacy, rarely found this
side of the St. Lawrence Seaway.
