One of the great
things about Philadelphia. I've been living here
for thirty years. Nick's Charcoal Pit has been
around for ten years. And we haven't met.
Not only is there another great meal around the bend,
there are so many great undiscovered five grease stain
places within ten blocks, not to mention Philadelphia's
mysterious Northeast.
The Nick's special
is one great sandwich. Charcoal broiled filet
cooked a perfect medium rare, spinach and cheese on
Sarcone's seed breaded.
The hot dog is as
greasy good as it gets. I had a combo - charcoal
grilled hot dog, bacon and cheez-whiz. Onion rings
are batter dipped and some of the best in the city.
I need to get back.
Nick's Charcoal Pit has won all sorts of awards for
their ribs. They are also kinda proud of their
wings.
