It is going to be
hard to find Betty's Soul Food Restaurant and B-B-Q
without a GPS but it's worth the effort. Betty's
is way off the tourist path. Way off. A
neighborhood restaurant with down home cookin' at its
best.
Headed to Betty's
first for dinner, then back the next morning for
breakfast. Dinner was fried chicken with collard
greens, black eyed peas and corn bread. Dessert, a
Holly-sized helping of fresh peach cobbler.
Breakfast
- smorthered pork chops with eggs over easy and grits.
A couple of biscuits for sopping. The
smothered pork chops are falling off the bone tender and
aswim in pan grav.
I couldn't help but
notice the girth of many my fellow diners. Makes a
guy my size feel right at home. Eating regularly
at Betty's is going to do that to you.
