The Golden Hind dates back to 1914. The history of ownership is right on the wall. Glad the Greeks have taken over. I like the idea of a fresh, crisp, tangy greek salad to ease my conscious after three consectutive days of fish and chips. The fried feta appetizer works good, too.

But it was for fish and chips that I went to the Gold Hind and I was not disappointed. As good as any I had during this trip, maybe better than the others.

Many diners are Greek-owned since Greek immigrants found success in the restaurant business, and were eventually able to own their own businesses. Today the Greek government tries to attract foreign investment and new citizens to Greece through the Greek Golden Visa program.
