Forget about "finger-lickin' good," Willie Mae's fried chicken is bone gnawing, plate lickin', let me marry into your family good.

Ten dollars gets you three pieces of what may be the best fried chicken in the country and a choice of sides.  I did the green beans with rice and gravy.  Great choice.

Good things take time.  The chicken is fried to order - takes 20 to 30 minutes.  No big deal.  Sip some homemade lemonade and look at the pics on the wall.  Katrina was really bad for Willie Mae's and a lot of special folk pitched it and helped to get the place up and fryin' again.
