One of the tricks of the trade in finding a good breakfast is looking at the hours a place is open.  If, like Mom's Cafe, they close at 2 PM, the chances are they are pros at turning out a good breakfast.

Mom's cafe did not disappoint.   I had the weekend special, chicken fried steak topped with milk gravy, with two eggs, home fries and two classic biscuits.  Tried the huevos rancheros on a return trip.  Other attractions, cranberry pancakes, cinnamon raisin oat cakes, and fruity waffles topped with strawberries or peaches and whipped cream.
