Perhaps the best fish and chips this side of the big pond though I would have preferred the fries to have been a bit crisper.  I suspect that unlike the fish, they weren't fried to order.  The ham steak was excellent, as was the potato leek soup.  Also on the menu bangers and mash, steak and kidney pie and toad in the hole.

I'll be back on a Saturday evening.  That's the traditional Saturday Roast night - at Stoney's that means roast beef and yorkshire pudding.
