Maybe
the best french fries in Philadelphia as long as ordered
unseasoned. Add little salt yourself. The
potatoes are fresh cut, thick cut, blanched, and finish
fried to order.
The burgers are
big. Eight ounces. All sorts of garnish
options. They are proud of their truffle butter
burger. I had mine basic burger joint style -
cheddar, tomatoes, lettuce, onion and mayonnaise.
Went back for a
grilled hotdog. All beef, natural casing, topped
with bacon and cheddar cheese.
Shakes are made the
old fashioned way. Hand dipped ice cream and
served with the leftover milk shake in the stainless
steel blending cup.
Everything is made
to order. To pass the time while waiting, there
are sheets of paper, crayons and chalk. Most end
up on the wall. There is a monthly contest -
winner gets a meal.
