We're talking
classic roadside America right out of the fifties.
A giant King Kong waving you in from the road.
Warn the kids about the scary Humpty Dumpty greeting you
at the door. And a lot of fun once you get inside
- velvet Elvis, plaster of paris Elvis, pink flamingos
and walls lined with all manner of memorabilia.
Good home cooking
too. I was there for breakfast. Pork
tenderloin, a couple of eggs over easy, grits and a
fresh baked biscuit. Lunch and dinner - down home
diner fare including meat loaf, chicken fried steak and
an Elvis Burger.
