The Crystal Palace is a Reading Tradition.  It's even listed by the local historical society.  It should be.  Their Coney Island dog with fresh chopped onions and Coney Island sauce is a classic. 

The hamburger prep dates way back too.  Fried ahead of time and held in its greasy juices.  Pulled out and plopped on a bun, topped with fried onions and the same Coney Island sauce as the hot dogs.

Be sure to grab one of the single chairs in their small dining room.  Another classic of another era.  Cross between a child's school desk and a billiard hall chair.
