The choice is easy here.  Chopped, roast pork.  Pork tacos, a port torta, or pork by the kilogram.

I first stumbled upon Carnitas La Nueva Esperanza searching out  El Varadero, a Cuban restaurant that takes a great deal of searching to eventually find.  A guy here finally gave me the right directions.  I ordered a pork taco to hold me over til I made it to El Varadero.  It was fantastic.

I made it back to Carnitas La Nueva Esperanza this year.  Between visits Yamaha built a showroom that totally blocks the view of Carnitas La Nueva Esperanza from the main road.  Business seems to be brisk though.  This place is a favorite for the cab drivers.
