This
is why I don't have an editor. An editor would
say, "$50 for breakfast and you want to put Brennan's on
HollyEats?"
Yup. On
mission or not, Brennan's is part of my New Orleans
tradition, and their Eggs Hussard, with
Marchand de Vin Sauce are
both a Brennan's creation and a perfect way to kick off
the morning.
I started with
strawberries in double cream and ended with crepes
Fitzgerald - filled with cream cheese and sour cream and
topped with flambéed strawberries.
Ignore the knee-jerkers
who declare Brennan's a tourist trap, and make a
reservation for brunch your next visit to New Orleans.
