The big sign on the
side of their building says "Eat Bertha's Mussels" and
that's definitely the thing to do at Bertha's. All
manner of mussels - just butter or garlic butter, butter
and capers, sour cream and scallions, anchovy tomato and
garlic butter, and a few more ways. I started with
crab soup and washed it all down with a stein of local
brew.
I guess you could
drive to Bertha's, but it's more fun to hop the water
taxi and get off at the Fells Point landing.
Bertha's is on the corner about a block from the
landing.
