Just about every lifetime Memphis resident I asked pointed me to A&R for a great barbeque sandwich.  The pork is chopped and plenty of browns or ends.  The sauce is rich, full of flavor - the distinction between Memphis and Carolina barbecue.  Also went for A&R's bologna sandwich, sliced, smoked and aswim in the same sauce.  A couple of slices of soft white bread is the perfect compliment. 

A&R bakes their own desserts including the deep red, red velvet cake to the right.  Also fries up some mighty good pies.

A&R is right on the way to the Airport, making it a perfect first and last stop when flying to and from Memphis.
